Project 3

Project 3 - Technical Illustration

Choose a simple three dimensional manufactured object (radio, cell phone, television, camera, etc…), and using that object, create a technical illustration.

Show (at minimum), the front, back, one side, the top, and the bottom of the object. One set of drawings should be outlines, and the other set should be rendered to show the product as realistically as possible.

This type of illustration generally makes use of an isometric grid rather than linear perspective to create the illusion of depth. See the tutorial below regarding isometric grids.
